Our knitting mamas

I live in a country where life is not quite easy for most people, for those who work and for those who are retired it is even harder. My nana, my mother, my friend's mother, a very nice grandma I have met along the way; they all struggle, like most people to make sure the little money they have would last a whole month.

With all this in mind, I asked my nana if she would like to knit baby blankets for my shop, and her reaction surprised me, because I didn't have the chance to tell her that it would be a payed job, while she watched TV, or on rainy days when she does not work in the garden (this is what she loves most: her flowers).
She was so happy to do something, to "feel usefull" as she said.
The money she would make were a bonus ♥
All our mothers know how to knit, in my country, well, the great majority, at least.
I think that I will make my Zucchini Island Shop a collective shop:
me and the knitting mamas ♥

Giving them a chance, showing to the world their beautiful work, dreaming that the baby blankets they make, would keep warm a sweet little baby.
Hugs and love,

  2. What a fabulous idea! I am so sad that my grandmother passed away years ago before I learned of Etsy as her fabulous sewn creations would have been well received!!!
